Charter Choice Remains In The News
The right of credit unions to convert to a mutual charter has continued to resonate within the industry in the wake of the
Credit Union Times op-ed written by ACB Second Vice Chairman Mark Macomber and Mutual Institutions Committee Chairman Steve Swiontek and the attention given to the topic at ACB’s Government Affairs Conference. CU Times Publisher Mike Welch responded with an editorial rebutting ACB’s stance on charter choice, and the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) announced it was creating a task force to deal with the issue.
