ACB PARTNERS NAMES TWO SENIOR BUSINESS SOLUTIONS SPECIALISTS
WASHINGTON, D.C. — ACB Partners, Inc., the for-profit subsidiary of America’s Community Bankers, has named two executives to expand its solutions programs for community banks. They are Helen Sullivan, director of financial and capital markets solutions, a new position, and Jan Simoneau, manager of payments solutions.
Sullivan will emphasize the creative implementation of solutions designed to enhance an ACB member’s ability to compete in an evolving marketplace and to increase profitability.
“Helen brings more than 18 years of capital markets experience to the Partners’ team,” said Anita Gentle Newcomb, president and CEO of ACB Partners. “Her addition enables Partners to provide an increased range of financial and capital markets products and solutions to our members. Understanding and evaluating our members’ needs, then matching those needs to carefully designed programs with best-in-class partners requires an extensive knowledge of community bank business solutions. Helen’s background allows ACB Partners to be an even more dynamic resource for our members,” Newcomb added.
Prior to joining ACB, Sullivan managed a specialized group within the equity trading and sales department of Friedman Billings Ramsey Group, providing investment counsel and capital management strategies to community banks and thrifts. Before moving to Washington, D.C., Sullivan spent six years at Goldman Sachs & Co. in New York City working on the U.S. government securities trading desk. Sullivan received a B.A. in economics from The University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Wash.
Simoneau will have responsibility for growing and managing ACB’s credit and debit card programs with the goal of increasing ACB member participation and improving existing member relationships with current programs. She will also take the lead role in identifying additional payments solutions to help member institutions strengthen their competitive edge and increase bottom line results.
“Jan’s 15 years of credit/debit experience, combined with her previous management positions, make her an invaluable addition to the Partners’ team,” said Newcomb. “We look forward to expanding our payments options for members and adding more institutions to our already successful card solutions programs,” Newcomb added.
Prior to joining ACB, Simoneau worked for Mastercard International in New York City, where she was responsible for debit product support for the Asia-Pacific region. Formerly, she was manager of service operations for NYCE Network and vice president of credit and debit card services for the New York State Credit Union League. Simoneau attended The State University College at Buffalo and The Albany Business College, N.Y.
