AMERICA’S COMMUNITY BANKERS, WESTERN INDEPENDENT BANKERS TO CO-SPONSOR REAL ESTATE LENDING CONFERENCE

WASHINGTON, D.C. (August 28, 2006) – America’s Community Bankers and Western Independent Bankers announced today that they will jointly sponsor the largest gathering of community bank real estate professionals in the nation at the 2007 Real Estate Lending Conference, Feb. 11-14, at the Ritz-Carlton hotel, Lake Las Vegas. The conference is the first co-sponsored by the two trade groups.

The conference, previously offered by ACB, will add a commercial real estate track to help community banks develop and grow a profitable commercial real estate portfolio.

The conference is designed specifically for chief lending officers, secondary market managers, asset and liability managers, loan product/production managers, commercial relationship managers, chief credit officers and chief risk officers. Bank chief executive officers and chief financial officers also find the conference useful.

“While the conference will continue to focus on real estate finance, the program is being expanded with the help of our WIB partner to include a complete commercial real estate lending track, an area of key importance to community banks,” said Diane Casey-Landry, ACB president and CEO.
